How Can Chiropractic Care Help You?
Our office is committed to creating a comforting environment and excellent care from the moment you step foot through the front door. Our care allows the body to heal itself by correcting misalignments (subluxations) that can occur from everyday activities that cause shifts in the spine.
We commonly have patients who have been recently injured or suffering for long periods of time. Correcting these misalignments result in improvements in motion, circulation, and stimulates the nervous system to allow you to heal and perform to the best of your ability.
Before we were Doctors of Chiropractic, we were chiropractic patients who had our lives changed by quality chiropractic care. It is our goal to bring that quality of care to our patients of all ages.
TRAINING OF A CHIROPRACTOR
Most people do not realize the lengths chiropractors had to go through to succeed in their profession. Hours and hours of constant training and education, which translate to those of a physician, are required to even graduate school.
The educational requirements for chiropractors today are primarily focused on the sciences. The typical student enrolling in has an undergraduate focus similar to that of a pre-medical undergraduate student.
Students in Chiropractic College have four to five years of a rigorous program, which includes classes that continue to follow a similar path to those of a medical student, such as Neuroanatomy, Embryology, Spinal Anatomy, Biochemistry, Gender Disorders, Visceral Disorders, and much more. Chiropractic student also take several radiology, diagnosis, and technique classes. Since chiropractors do not prescribe medications or perform surgeries, they spend their time expanding their knowledge about how the body works, nutrition, rehabilitation, diagnosis and x-ray.
